Phyllis R. White

A funeral service celebrating the life of Phyllis R. White, age 85, of Pataskala, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 1, at the Kirkersville home of Hoskinson Funeral & Cremation Service. Burial will take place in Sunset Cemetery, Galloway. Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday, February 28, at the funeral home, 285 East Main Street, Kirkersville. Phyllis was born March 16, 1931 in New Rome, Ohio to the late Floyd James and Ruth Ethel (Johnson) Armstrong. She passed away at her home on Friday, February 24, 2017, which was her and her husbands 66th wedding anniversary. Phyllis was a 1949 graduate of Hilliard High School. She retired in 1986 from Columbus and Southern Electric where she had been employed in customer service. Phyllis was a lifelong member of the Amlin United Methodist Church near Hilliard and was active within the church preparing the communion and cooking for congregational fellowship. Phyllis was an avid fan of the Browns, Reds and OSU Buckeyes. She was an excellent cook and was known for many delicious dishes including her marzetti, pies, macaroni and cheese and chicken salad. She is survived by her husband, Albert A. White, whom she married February 24, 1951; four children, Cathy (Craig) Bennett of Vermilion, Pam (Nigel) Krasinski of Granville, Steve Charlie (Mary) White of Delaware and Tom White of Waterford, Michigan; grandchildren, Scott (Jill) Bennett, Heather Bachman, Shay Krasinski (Kim Faraci), Lindsay Krasinski (Jaques Campher), Sean Krasinski, Allen White, Elisabeth White and Brooke White; great-grandchildren, Parker and Peyton Bennett, Baz Faraci-Krasinski, Alice Campher Krasinski and Addelynn Tucker; twin brother, Paul Armstrong of Columbus and brother, Dave Armstrong of Grove City; many nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Susie Noxon of New Lexington; brother-in-law, James Henry White of Florida; and special friends, Lori and Tracey. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a twin brother, Phillip Armstrong and by a brother, Darrel Armstrong. Memorial contributions may be made to the Foundation for Hospice of Central Ohio or Alzheimers Foundation. Hoskinson Funeral & Cremation Service in Kirkersville is honored to care for Phyllis and the White family.
