Phyllis Jane Temple

Phyllis Jane Temple, age 79, of Newark, passed away on Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at Flint Ridge Nursing and Rehabilitation. Phyllis was born June 5, 1945 in Elkton, Maryland to the late Charles and Nell (Moore) Bailey.

Phyllis had been employed as an STNA at several area nursing homes for many years including Heath Nursing Home, Newark Healthcare Centre, and Flint Ridge. She attended the Old Country Church and enjoyed quilting.

Phyllis is survived by three sons, Donald E. King of Thornville, Daniel “Scott” King of Newark, and Nicolas (Ashley) Temple of Crestline; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a brother, Thomas Bailey of Utica; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her boyfriend, Ronald Eugene Drawbaugh; and siblings, Charles Andrew Bailey, Janet Irene Apple, Roberta Kochensparger, and infant siblings Willis Bailey and Elsie Bailey.

At her request, there will be no service observed.
