Pleasant Marie Vermillion

A funeral service, celebrating the life of Pleasant Marie Vermillion, age 93, of Granville, will be held on Monday, July 11, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home, with Pastor Frank W. Austin officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.Pleasant was born on December 22, 1922 in Licking County to the late Russell and Florida (Davis) Lees. She passed away at her residence on July 7, 2016, while surrounded by her loving family.Pleasant was a devoted homemaker and loved farming with her family. She was a former member of the Farm Bureau. She was an avid rug weaver for over 70 years, enjoyed gardening, cooking and spending time with her family and friends.Survivors include her two children, David Lees (Sheila) Vermillion and Nancy Sue (Frank) Austin; grandchildren, Scott Wolfe, Dawn (Terry) Neibarger, Christa (Rod) Milner, Jodi Kelley, Ronda (Steve) Kennedy and Trevor (Brooke) Wolfe; 13 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William David Vermillion in 1987; twin brother, Oliver Lees; and son-in-law, Dan Wolfe.Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Pleasant to Generation Hospice, 1435-A W. Main Street, Newark, Ohio 43055.
