Ralph Dana Gwilym, Sr.

A funeral service celebrating the life of Ralph Dana Gwilym, Sr., age 72, of Brownsville, will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, March 24, at the Thornville Chapel of Hoskinson Funeral & Cremation Service with Pastor Daniel Fullen officiating. A graveside service will follow at 12:00 p.m. at Fairview Cemetery in Logan where military honors will be observed.

Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 23, at the funeral home, 56 South Main Street in Thornville. Due to COVID-19 concerns, masks must be worn inside the funeral home. For your protection, a maximum of 35 guests will be allowed inside at one time. Please practice social distancing.

Ralph was born May 12, 1948 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Ralph Henry Gwilym and the late Clara Rose (Crippin) Wade Gwilym. He passed away on Friday, March 19, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family.

Ralph was a Sergeant in the United States Army and faithfully served his country with the 101 ^st Airborne Division. He was a truck driver for many years. Ralph enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and spoiling his wife. He was always busy and on the go and enjoyed working on vehicles and houses.

He is survived by his son, Ralph (Beth) Gwilym, Jr. of Lewistown, Pennsylvania; daughters, Celina (Ben) Mangold of Corry, Pennsylvania and Heather Nicole Rollison of New Concord; step-daughters, Melissa (Ric) Baugus of Thornville and Vicki Malone of Corry, Pennsylvania; grandchildren, Dante, Breanna, Mary, Ayden, Maelee, Brandon, Alexus and Rawlin, as well as several other grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Stephanie Ann (Huff) Gwilym, whom he married April 17, 1982 and who died March 15, 2019; brother, Bill Gwilym; sisters, Jane Higginbotham and Jean Sylvester; and a granddaughter, Tierra Mangold.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Foundation for Hospice of Central Ohio or to the Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital.
