Randall "Randy" Yost

A celebration of life service for Randy Yost, age 68, of Granville, will be held on Saturday, June 23, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at the Thornville chapel of Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service, 56 S. Main Street, Thornville, Ohio. Burial will follow at Olivet Cemetery, Thornville. Family and friends may call one hour prior to the funeral service on Saturday, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Randy entered peacefully into the arms of his savior on Monday, June 18, 2018, at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. He was born in Zanesville, Ohio on April 23, 1950, to the late Frank and Mable Yost. Randy grew up in Glenford, Ohio and was a graduate of Sheridan High School, Class of 1968. At the time of his passing, Randy was employed by Crawford Hoying in Columbus, Ohio. He had previously worked at Meijer. Randy will be forever remembered for his for generous spirit and willingness to help others. He loved collecting second-hand treasures, and was so proud of his wifes unbelievable culinary skills, especially her ass kicking ribs. Randy joked that he loved both kinds of music-county and western. Left to cherish Randys precious memory are his wife of 41 years, MaryAlice Yost; his children, Brian (Amanda) Yost, Shawnna Beyer, Amy Scurlock, Amanda (Gordon) Yost-Becker, Danielle Yost (Jamie Friend), and Jason Yost; grandchildren, Regen and Christian Hale, Parker Scurlock, Elizabeth and Liam Yost, Conner, Camdon, and Callen Yost, Cole Friend; great-grandchild Cayson Hale; and his loving in-laws and many other family and friends. In addition to his parents, Randy was preceded in death by one brother, Roger Yost. Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service is honored to care for Randy and the Yost family.
