Randy Lee Hardesty

"On Sunday, September 11, 2022, Randy Lee Hardesty, loving husband and father, passed away at the age of 66 in Hebron, Ohio. Randy was born on October 23, 1955 in Coshocton, OH to Kay and Stanley Hardesty. Randy spent the majority of his career working for American Electric Power, putting in nearly 47 years before retiring in February of 2022. On October 19th, 1985 he married Dixie Lee Jones, and they welcomed their son Shane Michael Hardesty on December 17, 1986. He enjoyed working on anything mechanical, and was an enthusiast of both traditional and electric cars. Randy was skilled enough to gain recognition in the car community, and was able to show the all-electric Pontiac Fiero he built at a convention, called EVCON. Randy was incredibly caring and kind, and rescued several dogs and cats during his lifetime. To his family, Randy was Mr. Fix-It. Performing acts of service for his loved ones was something that he was known for. Survivors include his wife, son, as well as cousins, sisters and a brother. Randy was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to the National Mill Dog Rescue, (nmdr.org).
