Randy Lee Weekly

A funeral service celebrating the life of Randy Lee Weekly, age 71, of Jacksontown, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 6, at the Kirkersville home of Hoskinson Funeral & Cremation Service with John Green officiating. Burial will take place in Fairmount Cemetery.

Friends may call from 12 p.m.-2 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home, 285 East Main Street in Kirkersville.

Randy was born June 29, 1952 at Chelsea Naval Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts to the late James Robert and Martha Catherine (Stiff) Weekly. He passed away on Sunday, March 3, 2024 at Licking Memorial Hospital.

Randy was a 1970 graduate of Lakewood High School. He joined the Hebron Fire Department in 1972 and was hired in 1980 to become Hebron’s first full-time fireman. He went on to become a paramedic, and then a full-time fireman at West Licking Fire Department in 1987. In July of 1992 he returned to Hebron as the full-time Fire Chief, later retiring in 2014. He also coached his boys as a part of the Lakewood Baseball team. After retirement, Randy enjoyed fishing and camping at Lake Erie. He also took many camping trips to Yellowstone, Glacier, up the east coast to Maine, as well as to Pensacola, Florida. He was also a Union Township Trustee. Randy is loved by many and will be dearly missed.

He is survived by his wife of nearly 50 years, Beverly P. (Green) Weekly, whom he married on September 21, 1974. They have two sons, Jeremiah (Krista) Weekly and Kyle (Sarah) Weekly. He was a loving grandfather to Kara, Adison, Carter, and Lucas Weekly. He is also survived by two brothers, Marc (Karen) Weekly and Kevin Weekly. His family also includes brothers-in-law, John (Terry) Green and Rick (Marion) Green; sisters-in-law, Sandy Moore, Pam Evener, Norma Harper, Jean Searles, Marie (James) Stewart, Joyce Evener, Carol Martin, Lisa Clark, and Patti Sealock; many nieces and nephews; and aunts, Shirley Smith and Mary Jo Weekly.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Fred and Pearl (Vance) Green and Helen Clark, as well as brother-in-law, Eric Sealock.
