A funeral service celebrating the life of Raymond Carpenter, age 63, of Millersport, Ohio, formerly of Virginia, will be held on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Hebron chapel of Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service with Pastor Jeff Cannon officiating. Interment will follow at Glen Rest Cemetery, where military honors will be observed.Raymond was born in Willard, Ohio on August 18, 1953 to the late Raymond and Virginia (Reinholtz) Carpenter. He passed away at his residence on November 21, 2016.Raymond proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He received his Masters Degree from the Air Force Institute of Technology and prior to retirement, he worked in Civil Service with the Air Force for over 30 years. Raymond was an avid Ohio State Buckeye and Cleveland Browns fan. He enjoyed golfing and spending time with his family and friends.Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Becky (Wagner) Carpenter, whom he married September 24, 1983; daughter, Kasey (Jamie Graves) Carpenter; grandchildren, Kyle, Kameron and Keaton; siblings, Barbara (Joe) Parrilla, Sandra (Gary) Sites, Richard Carpenter, Terry Carpenter and Cheryl (Brian) Williams; mother-in-law, Helena Lee Wagner; brother-in-law, Don (Teresa) Wagner; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Raymond to Foundation For Hospice of Central Ohio, PO Box 430, Newark, Ohio 43058-0430.Friends may call at the funeral home in Hebron, Ohio 108 N. 7th Street, on Tuesday, November 29th from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service is honored to care for Raymond and the Carpenter family.
