Raymond L. Maher

A gathering, to celebrate the life of Raymond Ray L. Maher, 36, of Newark, will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2015 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Hopewell Hallroom 53 at OSU/COTC Newark Campus.Ray passed away August 10, 2015 at the Selma Markowitz Care Center, operated by Hospice of Central Ohio. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio on November 12, 1978 to Cheryl (Davis) Maxhimer of Corning, Ohio.Ray enjoyed disc golfing, video games, listening to music, the great outdoors and especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.In addition to his mother, survivors include his fianc, Cassidy Comston; daughter, Amara Maher; son, Cory Comston; siblings, Mark (Lori) Davis, Veronica Rine and David Maher; special cousin, Salesta Crouse; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Elwood and Emily Davis.Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Ray, to help with expenses, by visitingwww.GoFundMe.com/HelpRaySeeTheOcean.Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service is honored to care for the Maher family.
