Rebecca Amelia "Becky" Kerns

A funeral service celebrating the life of Rebecca Amelia Becky Kerns, age 58, of Newark, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 21, at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Weaver officiating. Burial will take place in Newark Memorial Gardens.Becky was born October 1, 1956 in Columbus, Ohio to the late William R. and Susanna (Knight) Neely. She passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2015 at the Selma Markowitz Care Center (operated by Hospice of Central Ohio).Becky was the manager of Community Living Experiences for many years. She enjoyed collecting Boyds Bears and Longaberger baskets.She is survived by her husband, Lawrence D. Kerns, Sr.; sons, David (Nicole)Oatney of White Pine, Tennessee, Russell Kerns of Newark and Zachary Kerns of Columbus; granddaughter, Riley Amelia Oatney; brother, David (Tracy) Neely of Newark; sisters, Ruth Neely and Elizabeth Neely (Kenny Lake), all of Newark; aunt, Elsie Knight of Newark; and several nieces and nephews.Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. on Monday, July 20, at the funeral home, 179 Granville Street, Newark.Memorial contributions may be made to the Foundation for Hospice of Central Ohio, PO Box 430, Newark, OH 43058.Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home is honored to care for Becky and her family.
