Regina G. Mcartor

Regina G. (Church) McArtor, age 77, of Thornville, passed away Wednesday, February 28, 2024 at Altercare of Thornville. She was born October 13, 1946, in Five Forks, West Virginia to the late Fred S. and Mavadean (Wilson) Church. Regina was a 1964 graduate of Lakewood High School and then earned her bachelor's degree at The Ohio State University. She began her career as a teacher in the Columbus City School system in the 1970’s before transitioning to Nationwide Insurance as a Computer Programmer. Regina was a former member of the Fairmount Presbyterian Church where she married her husband of 57 years, Tom McArtor. She enjoyed traveling, including several trips to Alaska. Regina was an avid animal lover and supporter of the Humane Society. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by infant children, Geoffry and Amy; and step-brother, Barry Wilson. Regina is survived by her step-mother, Ruthann Church; husband, Thomas H. McArtor, whom she married on October 18, 1966; daughter, Carrie (Kevin) Evans of Oregon; granddaughter, Chloe Evans; step-siblings, Jolene “Jo” (Wilson) Sobiech of Westerville, Becky (Wilson) Nethers, and Marvin Wilson, both of Thornville; numerous nieces and nephews. Per Regina’s wishes, a graveside service will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.
