He was known in the city of Columbus for his willingness to take on jobs that no one else could and his ability to complete them on time. He would state “if you are not satisfied with my work, you don’t owe me anything.” Moved by the poor living conditions of the residents of the east side of Newark, Ohio, Dr. Noble was moved to create the Washington Square Apartments, a series of senior and housing projects established throughout the state of Ohio and the first senior housing in Licking County Dr. Noble was later appointed to create the National Baptist Convention Housing and Economic Development Commission, expanding this ministry throughout the country. Dr. Noble served as Pastor of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Newark Ohio from July 11, 1969 to December 31, 2011. For over 42 years he preached, taught and counseled the Word of God to over five generations in the Newark Community. His ministry also impacted preachers and pastors through the Columbus Baptist Pastor’s Conference, the Baptist Ministerial Alliance of Columbus & Vicinity, the Eastern Union Missionary Baptist Association, the Ohio Baptist General Convention and the National Baptist Convention, USA, Inc. Dr. Noble loved to fish and hunt and taught his sons the skills. He was a giving person, always helping people improve themselves. His life’s motto was to leave the world better than he found it. More important than his earthly accomplishments were his love for the Lord Jesus Christ and his family. He constantly reminded everyone that he must decrease so that Christ might increase.
