Jim Mussman, 99, died peacefully at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio on October 30, 2020. Born at home in Louisville, Kentucky in 1921, Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Josephine (Beazley) and Ralph; wife, Lou Anne; brother, Ralph Jr. and twin brother, Robert. He graduated from Newport High School. He honorably served our country during World War II in the Army. He was stationed in Alaska and served as a railroad clerk before becoming a chaplain’s assistant. Jim married Lou Anne on October 2, 1946. He completed his undergraduate and graduate education at the University of Cincinnati and, after teaching for 8 years, completed his divinity degree at United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio. Jim was an ordained United Methodist minister and served churches throughout Kentucky and Ohio during his long career until his retirement from Shiloh United Methodist Church, Tiffin in 2015. He continued to lead chapel services at Wesley Glen Retirement Community after his retirement. He was the loving parent of James Robert (Afriyie), John, Joanna (Ken) Seiden, and Jessica (Mark) Ditullio; and grandfather of John Peter (Clara Kim) and Mary Christina Mussman, Joshua and Londy Seiden and Frank and Harry Ditullio.
