Rev. Kenneth H. Maynard

Rev. Kenneth H. Maynard, age 83, of Heath, passed away on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at his home.Kenneth was born May 21, 1934 in Williamson, West Virginia to the late John and Minerva (Bowen) Maynard. A retired Pastor, he was a member, for over 55 years,of the Church of the Nazarene. He wasan ordained Elder in the Church of the Nazarene since 1976. He served as Pastor of the Pleasantville Church of the Nazarene from 1972 to 1983 and the West Portsmouth Church of the Nazarene from 1983 to 1987.Kenneth enjoyed ministering to others, playing guitar and retired as a residential and commercial drywall professional.He is survived by five children, Karen E. (Todd) Wallace, Charles (Anita) Maynard, Lloyd (Karen) Maynard, John (SueAnn) Maynard and Paul (Chris) Maynard; nineteen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Elizabeth Maynard, whom he married October 1, 1952 and who passed away on November 6, 2017; and by five sisters; and two brothers.A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. onSaturday, January 6, 2018 at the Hebron Church of the Nazarene where Kenneth was a member at the time of his homegoing.In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Compassionate Ministries at Hebron Church of the Nazarene. 115 West Cumberland Street, Hebron, Ohio 43025.Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home is honored to care for Kenneth and his family.
