Rhonda Sue Snider

Graveside Funeral services, celebrating the life of Rhonda S. Snider, 66, of Thornville, will be held Friday, October 8, 2021, at 11:00 am with Mark Snider as celebrant at Oakthorpe cemetery, where Rhonda will be laid to rest next to her son David Snider, who preceded her in death in 2017. Rhonda passed away suddenly on Sunday, September 19, 2021. She was born in Zanesville, on May 25, 1955 the daughter of the late Myron Dorn and Glendola Faye (Swain) Pryor. She was a graduate of Caldwell High School/ MAJVS class of 1973. Rhonda worked as the student aid attendant for Muskingum Valley ESC located at New Lexington H.S. A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, compassionate friend and beautiful soul: she loved tractor pulls, shopping, spending time with her family, working with the FFA, having tea at Davis Shai house in Newark with friends. Rhonda was passionate about quilting and belonged to several local quilting guilds where she was known as “The Best Binder”. Rhonda lived out her strong Christian faith, was a member of Oakthorpe Church and was a former Sunday School teacher. She studied Early Childhood development at OSU Newark, and was “so much for so many.” She is survived by her loving family: Husband Wayne, whom she married on July 15, 1973, her son Dale (Casey Price) and daughter Carly (Derick Hanlon) along with her daughter-in-law Tiffany Snider (Mrs. David); her grandchildren Aaron, Levi, Owen, Izzy and Luke; her sisters Diana Price, Rosanna Pryor, Donna Colburn; in-laws: Jane Ann (Herb) Garn, Sue Snider, Phil (Cheryl) Snider, Juanita (Ron) Unkefer; several nieces and nephews, along with many friends. The family prefers that memorial contributions be directed to the “Blue Jacket Project” to purchase FFA jackets for worthy FFA members at Sheridan FFA, 8725 Sheridan Road NW, Thornville, OH 43076 and New Lexington FFA, 2547 Panther Drive, New Lexington, OH 43764.
