Rhonda Ilene (Ellis) Yates

Rhonda Ilene (Ellis) Yates, age 50, of Newark, passed away on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at OhioHealth Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus.

Rhonda was born October 4, 1970 in Newark, Ohio. She was a homemaker and enjoyed singing, drawing, and dancing. Her greatest passion in life was her family and she loved being a mom and grandma.

She is survived by five children, Amanda Ellis (Joey Northrup) of Heath, Jacob Yates of Dade City, FL, Cora (Ronnie) Coderre of Lutz, FL, Matthew Bungard (Breeze Exouzidis) of Lindsay, Ontario, Canada, and Shannon Bungard (Dustin Frazier) of Newark; grandchildren, Quentin, Makylah, Braycin, Connor, Avaya, Cerenity, Ava, Jacob, Jr., Little Ronnie, Caden, Amiyah, Freya, Raven, Ariel, Zane and Abel; brothers, Mike (Debbie) Ellis of Heath, Charles Wheeler, Ronald Jones and William Ellis, all of Newark; sisters, Donny (Rocky) Van Valkenburg of Hanover and Hazel “Tina” Chidester of Newark; many nieces and nephews; and boyfriend of 17 years, Keith Grannon of Newark.

She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Lloyd Ellis; mother who raised her, Nancy Votaw; daughter, Angel, and several other children; grandson, Michael Dunbar; brother, Gary Ellis; and sister, Paula Nicodemus.

The family will have a private gathering.
