Richard Brandum

A funeral service celebrating the life of Richard Lee Brandum, age 64, of Pataskala, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 5, at the Kirkersville home of Hoskinson Funeral & Cremation Service, 285 East Main Street, Kirkersville. Burial will take place in Kirkersville Cemetery. Friends may call from 12-2 p.m. prior to the service on Thursday at the funeral home.Richard was born May 16, 1950 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Charles and Mary Elizabeth Brandum. He passed away on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at his home.Richard enjoyed fishing, pool, playing cards and bowling, having bowled a perfect 300.He is survived by his wife, Vesta Leona (Blessing) Brandum, whom he married May 24, 1997; daughters, Paula (Jon) Powers of Pickerington and Samantha Fellows of Reynoldsburg; step-children, Patricia Sayre and Christina Sayre, both of Pataskala; Ernest Sayre of Reynoldsburg and Mike (Val) Bates of Panama City Beach, FL; grandchildren, Jon, Jordan, Jarrett, Madison, Mason, Jayden, Latisha, Desiree, Tyler, Ricki, Alex, Rex and Shawn; great-grandchildren, Romeo and Indica; sisters, Shirley Brandum (George) of Grove City, Sharon (Matt) Cornish of Arizona and Cindy (David) Bennett of Pataskala; many nieces and nephews that held a special place in his heart; and faithful companion, his dog, Poncho.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Howard, Tom and Jeff Brandum.Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.The Kirkersville home of Hoskinson Funeral & Cremation Service is honored to care for the Brandum family.
