Richard Dick W. Caudell, 58, of Newark, passed away on Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at Licking Memorial Hospital. He was born on May 31, 1953 in Newark, Ohio to the late Earl and Mabel (Massey) Caudell. Dick was a retired Newark City firefighter, 911 operator and former chief of the Buckeye Lake Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoyed fishing and was a member of OGF. He is survived by his wife, Linda G. Caudell, of Newark, Ohio; 6 children, Richard DJ Caudell, of Indiana, Nikki Caudell, Ashley Caudell, and Gavin Caudell, all of Newark, Stephanie Hazzard, and Melissa Felton, both of Massillon; 14 grandchildren; two brothers, Dwight A. (Teresa) Caudell, of Pleasantville and Ron (Teresa) Caudell, of Newark; two sisters, Ruth (James) Hite, of Lancaster and Joyce Caudell, of Florida; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Dick was preceded in death by his brother, Earl C. Caudell and a niece, Jennifer Caudell . A memorial service, celebrating Dicks life will be held 1:00PM on Sunday February 26, 2012 at the Millersport home of Hoskinson-Schoedinger Funeral and Cremation Service with Pastor Andrew Hoover officiating.
