Richard Lee Cayton, Jr.

  A graveside funeral service for Richard Lee Cayton, Jr., 53, of Newark, will be held at Cedar Hill Cemetery at a later date.  Richard was born in Newark, Ohio on February 15, 1966 to the late Richard Lee Cayton, Sr. and Shirley Haynes.  He passed away on September 2, 2019 at Arlington Care Center in Newark. Richard was a mechanic and enjoyed working on cars.  He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Survivors include his children, Meranda Cayton, Dennis Cayton, Skyler Cayton and Courtney Cayton; maternal grandfather, Benjamin Haynes; brothers and sisters, Glenn Cayton, Bradley (Judy) Cayton, Candy Hile, Shawn (Sara) Fout and Melinda Cayton; two grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Christopher Cayton. Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service is honored to care for Richard and the Cayton family.
