Richard "Dick" Lawrence Parsell

Richard “Dick” Lawrence Parsell, 86, of Hebron, Ohio, died peacefully on November 2, 2023 at the Selma Markowitz Care Center. Dick was born on January 22, 1937 to the late Herman and Alice Parsell in Columbus, Ohio. After Dick graduated from Hebron High School, he went on to study and play football for Ohio Northern University. Dick met his wife, Barbara Sue “Bobbie” Parsell (Cochran) during high school and together they raised three loving children. Dick retired from the Newark Air Force Base/Boeing after a long career and spent his remaining years caring for his adoring family and friends. Dick was a devoted father, grandfather, great-grandfather, an avid outdoorsman, a committed sports official, and an incredible friend. Dick was predeceased by his wife, Barbara Parsell; and his sister, Linda Daugherty. He is survived by his children, Laura (Wayne) Neale, Tom (Michelle) Parsell, and Mary Parsell; his grandchildren, Rick (Jill), Willa Neale, Dani (Tristan) Olivieri, Jessi (Christian) Burke, and Zach Parsell; his great-grandchildren, Lincoln Neale, Esther Sue, Asher Ann Olivieri, and Caroline Burke; his sister, Hannah (Ron) Mitchell; and his loving companion, Ruth Church. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Hospice of Central Ohio, 2269 Cherry Valley Road, Newark, Ohio 43055.
