A memorial service, celebrating the life of Richard Starr Dyer, 82, of Millersport, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 19, 2013, in the chapel of The Kirkersville home of The HOSKINSON Funeral & Cremation Service. Full Military honors will follow the services.Richard died October 3, 2013 following an extended illness. He was born May 25, 1931, in Rockford, Illinois, the son of the late John R and Coral (Starr) Dyer.He served honorably in the US Air Force during the Korean conflict. He retired after 42 years of service with Rockwell/Boeing in Columbus.He is survived by his loving family: his wife Ethel, his daughters Denice (Bill) Abbot of Columbus, Debra (Chuck) Maynard of Hilliard, his step children Greg Johnson of Pataskala and Pamela (Mark) Daniels of Granville, 6 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother John Sky Dyer.His family will receive friends from 12:00 Noon until time of services at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home, 285 E Main Street in Kirkersville.Memorials may be directed to the Foundation for Hospice of Central Ohio, PO Box 430, Newark, Ohio 43058.
