Richard Lee Hardway

Rick Hardway, age 66, died peacefully at his home in Newark on Friday, December 2, 2022. He was preceded in death by his father, Rex J. Hardway and his mother, Dorothy Marie (Gheen) Hardway; his uncle, Darrell Hardway; and aunts, Faye Hardway, JoAnn Justice, Doris Hardway and Anna Hardway.

He is survived by Cindy Fries Hardway, (Mother of his children); his sons, Michael Hardway, Dustin (Lindsey) Hardway and Richard (Brandi) Hardway II; his brother, Rex Allen (Mary) Hardway; his sisters, Debbie (Michael) Frewin, Diana Thornton and Donna (Terry) Davis; his grandchildren, Austin, Garrett, Grant, Kyndal, Ricky III, and Bella; many nieces and nephews.

Rick attended Newark High School. He was employed as a Truck Driver and self employed contractor. He could fix anything. He also enjoyed cars, motorcycles, and fishing.

The family will receive friends on Friday, December 9, 2022 from 5-7 p.m. at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home, 179 Granville Street in Newark.

Private burial will follow in the Wilson Cemetery.
