Richard Lee Hill

Richard Lee Hill, age 67, passed away on November 22, 2024, at the VA Chillicothe Heath Care. A proud veteran, he served his country with honor in the United States Navy for 20 years, a career that instilled in him a deep sense of discipline and adventure. After retiring from the Navy, Rick pursued his passion for remodeling houses, a craft he enjoyed in his later years. Rick attended Millersport High School and earned his GED while in the Navy, showing his determination and hard work. Throughout his life, Rick lived in numerous places from Hawaii to Florida and finally returned to Ohio, where he spent his later years. He is survived by his siblings: John and Robbin Hill, Lora and Don Waller, Tim and Connie Minkos, Harley and Kim Minkos, Vicky and Dennis Pairan, Bobby Minkos, Pam Minkos, Mike Miller, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Rick was preceded in death by his parents, John and May Hill, and Shirley and Edward Minkos, sister Linda Hill, stepbrothers Roger Minkos, Patrick Miller, and Diana Miller. A celebration of Rick's life will be held at Hoskinson Funeral Home, 56 South Main Street in Thornville, Ohio on Friday evening, December 6, 2024, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. He will be deeply missed and remembered for his love of family, his service to his country, and the many lives he touched along the way.
