Richard A Huck

Funeral services, celebrating the life of Richard A. Huck, 83, of Pataskala, will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, January 31, 2025, in the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, 5133 Walnut Rd SE, Buckeye Lake, Ohio 43008. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening, January 30, 2025, from 5:00 until 8:00 pm in the chapel of the Kirkersville home of HOSKINSON Funeral and Cremation Service, 285 E Main St. in Kirkersville.  Buckeye Lake Aerie will hold Eagles Services at 7:30 pm.

Richard passed away on Monday, January 27, 2025, at Wesley Ridge in Reynoldsburg, following an extended illness. He was born August 5, 1941, in Beverly, the son of the late Andrew Theodore and Frances Katherine (Clark) Huck.

He was a graduate of Fort Frye High School, class of 1959 where he served as the class president.

He retired after 35 years of service with the Teamsters local #413, Columbus. He then was a custodian at SW Licking Schools for ten years. He joined Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Buckeye Lake in April of1974. He was a member of the Linden Aerie of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, where he joined in 1966. He transferred to the Buckeye Lake Aerie #2081 in 1994.

He is survived by his loving family: his daughter Sonya (Bret) Jones and Jennifer Huck, his grandchildren Christopher (Lynsie Baker) Hockstok, Mackenzie Jones; his brothers Neil (Connie) Huck, Roger Huck, Jerry (Theresa) Huck; his sisters Karen Kutscherenko and Sheila Huck ;his brother and sister-in-law Lyle (Cindy) Brownrigg; along with many nieces and nephews including his special nieces Meredith Kutscherenko and Michele Popovich, his” adopted” daughter Tiffany Hart, and church family at Our Lady of Mount Carmel.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Alice, whom he married on October 23, 1965, his son Shane Huck, along with his brother James Huck, and his brother-in-law Joe Kutscherenko.

The family refers that memorial contributions in Richard’s memory to be directed to the VBS at Our Lady of Mount Carmel or the Knights of Columbus Council at Our Lady Church. Envelopes for both will be available at the funeral home.
