Richard L. Cayton, Sr.

Richard L. Cayton, Sr., age 73, of Newark, passed away on Sunday, April 26, 2015 at Licking Memorial Hospital. He was born March 20, 1942 in Newark, Ohio to the late Frank and Viola (Randles) Cayton.Richard was employed with Kelco, Inc. in Newark as a block and brick layer. He enjoyed playing cards.He is survived by five children, Richard L. Cayton, Jr. of Newark, Glenn Cayton of Newark, Bradley (Judy) Cayton of Thornville, Candy (Jeff) Hile of Thornville, Melinda (Fred) Rhodes of Newark; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sister, Helen (George) DeVries of Newark; brother, George (Mary) Cayton of Newark; nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Christopher Cayton; a grandson, Christopher David Rhodes; and a brother, Frank Cayton.Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home is honored to care for the Cayton family.
