A funeral service celebrating the life of Richard L. Stukey, age 83, of Hebron, will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, December 11, at the Kirkersville home of Hoskinson Funeral & Cremation Service with Douglas Iden and Richard Linn officiating. Burial will take place in Newark Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from 10:30-11:30 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home, 285 East Main Street in Kirkersville.Richard was born February 4, 1934 in Hebron, Ohio to the late Chelsea Herbert and Lola M. (Clectner) Stukey. He passed away on Thursday, December 7, 2017 at the Price Road Health and Rehabilitation Center. Richard retired after 30 years of service from the Rockwell Corp. where he had been a welder. He was a member of the Hebron Trailblazers Baseball Club and the Hebron Boy Scout Troop 7. He loved fishing, working on vehicles and lawnmowers, small engine repair and working with wood in his workshop. He was a lover of duck tape, Super Glue, and loved watching Westerns and collecting hubcaps. He is survived by five children, Victoria D. (John) Sulpher of Hebron, Rebecca Sue Moss of Adena, Sandra M. (David) Kinsey of Mount Gilead, David Richard (Robin) Stukey of Heath and Alicia A. (Bob) Koon of Thornville; eleven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Joanne (Mitchell) Stukey, on January 23, 2017; and by two grandsons, Timothy A. Huffman and Roger Brown; sons-in-law, David Moss and Rex McLaughlin; and a sister, Carolyn D. Iden. Memorial contributions may be made to the Foundation for Hospice of Central Ohio, P.O.
