Funeral services, celebrating the life of Richard Lee Pete Leindecker Jr., 57, of Buckeye Lake, will be held on Friday, April 6, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of The Kirkersville home of HOSKINSON Funeral and Cremation Service, 285 East Main Street in Kirkersville. Burial will follow in Hebron Cemetery. Pete died Friday March 30, 2018, in Columbus, following a brief illness. He was born in Newark on August 12, 1960, the son of the late Richard L. and Barbara (Roelle) Leindecker, Sr. He was a graduate of Lakewood H.S., class of 1979, and owned his own Water Well drilling business, working with his father for many years. He was also the Fire Chief at Buckeye Lake Village Fire Department. He is survived by his loving family: wife Renee (Holderle) whom he married on July 12, 1986, daughters Ashley and Rachael (who was like a daughter to Pete), son Cory, his sister Lori (Robert) Moran, aunts Ginny Spivey, Donna Thompson and Carolyn Monroe; uncle, Sonny Roelle; special friends, Scott and Julie Grady; nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends and co-workers at Buckeye Lake V.F.D. The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 5, 2018 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. The family prefers that memorial contributions be directed to the Buckeye Lake Firefighters Association, P.O. Box 814 Buckeye Lake, Ohio 43008.
