Ricky Allen Klema, 66, of Alexandria, passed away suddenly at his home on August 9, 2018. He was born July 18, 1952, in Columbus, son of the late William Ned and Mary Ellen (Williams) Klema. He was a 1970 graduate of Licking Heights H.S., served honorably in the US Navy for 8 years, and was a graduate of Columbus State Community College with an A.A.S. degree in Accounting. He retired after a 25 year career with the Franklin County Sherriff’s office. Since his “retirement” he has also worked as a trainer at the Ohio Fire Academy, FEMA and currently was working with the Licking County Child Support Agency. Rick enjoyed hunting, fishing, was a member of the Johnstown Sportsman’s club, and the Summit Station United Methodist Church. He is survived by his loving family, his wife Cassandra, whom he married on June 10, 2010, his children: Brandy (Mike) Molinet, Rebecca Klema, step-daughter Deni (Peter Komula) Rowley; grandchildren: Britni Dennison, Jacob and Christian Molinet, Bryan Klema, Alexis (George Booth) Molinet, Breanna Copley and Brandy Klema; his great grandchild Avery Klema; his siblings: Karen (Charles) Wagner, Steve (Joyce) Klema, Timothy (Cathy) Klema, Ted (Cathy) Klema, several nieces and nephews and his former wife Barbara Blanton. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Bill Klema and step-daughter Amber Rowley. A memorial service, celebrating his life will be held Monday, August 13, 2018, at 6:00 p.m. in the Reynoldsburg United Methodist Church. Military honors will follow the services at the church.
