Rita Donice Marshall

Rita Donice (Huey) Marshall, was born November 6, 1962 in Lancaster, Ohio to Connie B (Jackson) Huey and Phillip N. Huey. She passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 17, 2023 at her sisters home in Hebron, with family gathered around her.

She was bartender for 20 plus years at the Kirkersville Tavern in Kirkersville. She was a 1982 Graduate of Watkins Memorial H.S., and the Licking Co. J.V.S. where she took her culinary training. She loved dancing, muisic, bingo, playing slot machines, cards, and partying with family and friends.

She is survived by her sister Kim Dover-Hill, (Brian), her brother Philip I. Huey (Robert Moyer). Nieces and Nephews Patrick Dover Jr., Joshua Dover (Janette Dube), Starla Moran (Garry), Tony Hill (Ruth), Robert Hill, Zachary Dover (Ashlee Deboard), Roger Hill (Cheyenne); Two bonus nieces Christine Belles and Bonnita McGuire (Rob); along with many great nieces and nephews. Uncles Walter Huey and Ray Logue, Aunt Sherry Root and too many cousins to name.

Rita was preceded in death by her parents Connie B. Huey and Philip N. Huey; her husband James D. Marshall, special loves David (Cricket) Lake and Timmy Fishbaugh; Grandmothers Ollie V. Jackson and Eva J. Huey; Grandfather Ivan J. Huey ; great niece Angel Dover, and many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 22, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the Kirkersville home of HOSKINSON Funeral and Cremation Service, where a funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Hospice Chaplain Josh from Echo Hospice as celebrant. Honoring Rita's wishes, she will be cremated after services.

The family wishes to thank Echo hospice for their loving and compassionate care of Rita.

Memorial contributions can be directed to the funeral home to assist the family with final expenses.
