Robert A. Weisent

A memorial service celebrating the life of Robert A. Bob Weisent, age 84, of Heath, will be held on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home. Military honors will be observed by the Licking County Veterans Alliance. Friends may call at the funeral home, 179 Granville Street, Newark, one hour prior to the memorial service on Wednesday, from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m.Bob was born in Newark, Ohio on March 18, 1932 to the late Andrew Weisent and Evelyn (Miller) Kitts. He passed away at the Kobacker House in Columbus on December 31, 2016.Bob proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. Prior to retirement, he was a dry wall finisher. He was a member of the American Legion Post # 85 in Newark. He was a horse lover, enjoyed NASCAR, hunting, fishing and spending time with his family and friends.Survivors include his children, Michele L. (Timothy) McElfresh, Bobby A. (Debbie) Weisent and Terry A. (Dawn) Neibarger; step-children, Vikki (Terry) Baker, Dawn (Ken) Ridenbaugh and Jo-Ellen McElroy; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Selma Sally Weisent.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Bob to the Kobacker House, 800 McConnell Drive, Columbus, Ohio 43214.Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service is honored to care for Bob and his family.
