Robert B. Nelson

Robert Bruce (Bob) Nelson, Jr., 78, of Thornville, passed into the arms of our Lord on Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at the VA Hospital in Dayton. He was born on June 13, 1933 in Columbus, son of the late Robert and Pearl Nelson.Robert was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict era. He was retired from White-Westinghouse Corp. Bob was an active auction and flea-market participant. He enjoyed taking pictures, and always had a camera ready. He loved God, his family, antique cars, and the blessings and beauty of nature.He is survived by his son, Robert Bruce (Mary) Nelson, of Powell,Ohio; grandchildren, Hilary N. and Charles W. Nelson, daughter, Debra L. (Mark) Snyder, of Millersport,Ohio; step-grandchildren, Mark D. Snyder, Jr. and Shana L. Beougher; son, Daniel P. Nelson, his special, faithful Buddy in all things; sister, Rita G. Bickel, of Columbus; and several step-great-grandchildren.A funeral service, celebrating Bobs life will be held1:00 PM on Monday, March 12, 2012 at the Thornville home of Hoskinson-Schoedinger Funeral and Cremation Service with Pastor Joe Edinger officiating.
