A funeral service celebrating the life of Robert D. Dapice, age 73, of Newark, will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, July 18, at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home. Friends may call from 2-4 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home, 179 Granville Street, Newark. Military honors will be observed by the Licking County Veterans Alliance.Bob was born December 14, 1942 in Dayton, Ohio. He passed away on Thursday, July 14, 2016 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Bob was a veteran of the United States Navy and retired from the City of Naples, Florida where he had been employed with the Parks Department. He enjoyed watching birds, looking at flowers and loved being outside in the sunshine, as well as going metal detecting and finding unique items.He is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Charlotte K. (Fuller) Dapice, whom he married January 27, 1995 in Dayton; mother, Inez (Woods) Dapice of Dayton; children, Wander Lynn (Todd) Wyman of Phoenix, Robert II (Pamela) Dapice, Tony (Michelle) Dapice and Maria (Gerald Duke) Hooper, all of Springfield, and Melinda (Mike) McElwee of South Charleston; grandchildren, Brandi, Mike, Breanna, Britnie, Brendie, Robert III, Brooke, Zoe, Caleb, Cassy, Shelby, Anthony II, Gabriel, Molly, Mandy, JJ, Brandon, Melanie, Cason, Alisha and Alizza; great-grandchildren, June, Evelyn, Anthony III, Jackson, Marlo, Aubrey and Kailynne; step-children, Sherrie (Chad) Bonifield of Fresno and Scott Smith of Newark; siblings, Cathye (Steve) Minch of Bellbrook, Angela (Tom) Schoffstoll of Tucson, Joyce Golden of Dayton and Gary (Kelly) Dapice of Waynesville; brother-in-law, Ron Gulley; nieces and nephews; and his faithful companions, his beloved dogs Hersey, Cassie and Sadie.He was preceded in death by his father, John J.
