Robert W. Davidson

Robert W. (Bob) Davidson born August 12, 1937 to the late Henry F. and Catherine S. Davidson (Myers) passed away July 28, 2022 at St. Anne’s Hospital. Survived by son Alan, (his partner Virginia Thompson), sister Ruth Etta (Ken) Tender of Medina, and many nieces, nephews and good friends and neighbors. Preceded in death by wife Phyllis (see below) and brothers Charles (Del Ann) and Paul (Therese). Bob began as a Land Surveyor in 1957 with H.G. Dill and ending with a partnership in Bauer, Davidson and Merchant, Inc., a company he helped found in 1971. He farmed Good Morning Farm in Harlem Township, Delaware County, with Phyllis starting in 1962. The farming was passed to Alan in 2021. In later years, Farmer Bob was known for passing out silver dollars to new friends.

Phyllis I. Davidson (Riesbeck) born June 20, 1937 to the late Harry V. and Irene C. Riesbeck (Meier) passed away quietly at home May 17, 2020.   Survived by son Alan, sister Rosemary (Arthur) Sellers of Van Buren, Arkansas and brothers Thomas (Jo) of Nicholasville, Ky, Donald (Cindy) of Newark; sister-in-law Ruth Etta (Ken) Tender of Medina.  Predeceased by sister Therese and brother Raymond (Martha who survives) and many cherished nieces, nephews and dear friends.  Phyllis was employed in banking and finance for many years.  She was active in several Harlem Township proceedings, especially cemetery records and educational history.  She enjoyed her home, yard, sewing, genealogy and volunteering at St. Anne’s Hospital as well as supporting Bob on the farm.

Family will host a Celebration of Life honoring both Phyllis and Bob to be held Sunday, August 21, 2022 from 3 – 7 pm at Harlem Road Church - 5520 Harlem Rd, Galena, Ohio. Light refreshments.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Harlem Township Fire Dept. EMS at 3883 S. State Rt. 605, Galena, OH  43021  ATT:  Lt. Ray Thrash.
