Robert "Jack" Dittoe

Funeral services, celebrating the life of Robert “Jack” Dittoe, 87, of Thornville, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 28, 2021 in the chapel of the Thornville home of HOSKINSON Funeral and Cremation Service, with Pastor Doug Lynn as celebrant.  Burial will follow in Lutheran Reformed Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening, May 27, from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home, 56 S. Main Street in Thornville.

Jack died May 25, 2021 in Lancaster, following an extended illness. He was born in Columbus, the son of the late Robert and Maribel (Sevitts) Dittoe. Graduate of Thornville H.S. A life-long farmer, he was a member of the Perry Co. Farm Bureau and a former member of the Thorn township zoning board. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his loving family: his wife, the former Carolyn Smart, whom he married on May 25, 1956, his son Ron (Linda) Dittoe of Thornville, grandchildren Rusty, Nick and Austin (Darien) Dittoe, K.C. and Faith Doup; his great grandchildren Jaxon, Hunter and Kylee.
