Robert Dorian Bachmann, Jr.

A graveside service celebrating the life of Robert Dorian Bachmann, Jr., age 65, of Newark, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, September 19, at Wilson Cemetery. Military honors will be observed by the Licking County Veterans Alliance.Robert was born October 23, 1950 in Newark, Ohio to the late Robert D. Bachmann, Sr. and Francine Louella (Fall) Bachmann. He passed away on Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at Mount Carmel East Hospital.Bob was a veteran of the United States Air Force, servicing from 1969-73. He retired from Dow Chemical and had also been a supervisor at Quantum. He was a member of the Newark Eagles. He enjoyed Harley Davidson motorcycles, NASCAR and was an avid fan of the OSU Buckeyes and the Oakland Raiders.He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Jerri (McArtor) Bachmann; son, Bryan Robert (Taylor); step-daughters, Aricka (Aaron) and Jessica (Chris); brother, Michael A.; sister, Carol Sue (Bob); grandchildren, Lillyanna, Kaitlyn, Von and Gavin; and his cat, Max.Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, September 16, at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home, 179 Granville Street, Newark.Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home is honored to care for Bob and his family.
