Robert Eugene Baughman

A funeral service celebrating the life of Robert Eugene Bob Baughman, age 88, of Hebron, will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 21, at the Kirkersville Chapel of Hoskinson Funeral & Cremation Service with Steve Webster officiating. The service will begin with Military Honors observed by the Licking County Veterans Alliance. Private interment will take place at Kirkersville Cemetery. Friends may call from 2:30-4:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home, 285 East Main Street, Kirkersville.Bob was born February 25, 1927 in Roseville, Ohio to the late Helen and Walter (Harris) Baughman. He passed away unexpectedly at his home on Monday, January 18, 2016.Bob was a veteran of the United States Army and had been stationed in Japan. He retired as a supervisor from Owens Corning Fiberglas. A lover of exercise, music and nature, Bob enjoyed workouts at Licking Memorial Wellness Center and walks at Dawes Arboretum. He attended Hebron Christian Church.He is survived by his sister, Jean Huston of Hebron; three nieces, Patty Huston (Mike Holm) of Canal Winchester, Penny (Paul) Loeffler of Pataskala and Chris (Dennis) Waites of Columbus; great-nieces, Trisha (Ethan) Eyler of Laura and Becca Waites of Columbus; great-nephews, Mike (Becky) Loeffler of Delaware and Andrew (Ariana) Waites of Columbus; a great-great-nephew; and two great-great-nieces.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Laura Becker; and a brother, George Baughman.Memorial contributions may be made to Dawes Arboretum, 7770 Jacksontown Road SE, Newark, OH 43056.Hoskinson Funeral & Cremation Service in Kirkersville is honored to care for Bob and his family.
