Robert Eugene Shaw

Robert Eugene Pappy Shaw, age 78, of Newark, passed away on Thursday, January 14, 2016 at Licking Memorial Hospital. He was born December 22, 1937 in Newark, Ohio to the late Elmer Charles and Edith Pearl (Wilson) Shaw.Pappy had been employed with Good Will and Advance Glass Company. He was a member of the Gods Acres Church of God. He loved movies, model cars, amusement parks, going to the beach, listening to country and gospel music and his Parakeets, Bobby and Polly.He is survived by ten children, John Spears, Louise (James) Crace, Paul Spears, Carol Linda Spears, Karen Spears, Sharon Spears, Robert E. Shaw, Jr., Jeff Shaw, Bernard Charles Shaw and Joseph Allen Shaw; sisters, Dorothy Jones of Baltimore, Betty Hess of Newark and Judy (Leslie, Sr.) Delancey of St. Louisville; brother, Richard L. (Sandra) Shaw of Heath; grandchildren, nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Sue (Pettibone) Shaw, in 2007; and by a daughter, Samantha Nethers; brothers and sisters, Florence Brown, Margaret Emerick, Nancy Spears, Mary Jane Hess, Charles Shaw, Ronald Shaw, Donald Shaw, Charles Shaw, Annabelle Shaw and Shirley Shaw as well as two other siblings.A memorial service will be held at a later date.Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home is honored to care for Bob and his family.
