Robert "Cork" Hamill

A memorial gathering for THE Robert "Cork" Hamill, age 69, of Millersport, will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, May 30, 2019 at Harbor Hills Country Club, 225 Freeman Memorial Drive in Hebron. Cork passed away on Saturday, April 27, 2019. He was born June 1, 1949 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Bernard and Mary Jane Hamill.

Cork was natural athlete and played baseball with both OSU and the Phillies Farm Team. He retired from Columbia Gas and was then a groundskeeper at Harbor Hills Country Club. Cork enjoyed many years of boating, golfing, time with his beloved Emily and rooting on THE Ohio State Buckeyes.

Cork is survived by his granddaughter, Emily Akers; and his long-time companion, Laurie Tarrier.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Nicole “Nikki” Akers; a grandson, Michael Akers, Jr.; and a brother, Jay Hamill.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of the funeral home to assist with funeral arrangements.
