Robert "Joey" Joseff Cross

A Celebration of Life service for Robert Joseff “Joey” Cross, 22, of Newark, will be held on Saturday, November 27, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service. Visitation will be held at the funeral home, 179 Granville Street, Newark, on Saturday, three hours prior to the funeral service, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Joey was born in Newark, Ohio on August 21, 1999 to Keith Stidham and Mary M. Cross. He passed away at his residence on November 18, 2021. Joey was a welding technician with Atkore. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, working on cars with his father, eating at his mom’s house, but most important, was the time he spent with his loving son Bentley. Joey also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and will be missed by everyone that knew him. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his son, Bentley Lee Packard; brothers and sister, Johnathon Cross-Valdez, Kadin Cross-McCollum, Savannah Cross-Colling and Chris Hersman; grandmothers, Roberta Rine and Teresa Stidham; special aunt, Kate (Thomas) Spears; and numerous, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his uncle, Randy Stidham; and grandfathers, Odell Stidham and Rick Rine.
