Robert L. Freeman

A funeral service, celebrating the life of Robert L. Freeman, 87 of Newark, will be held on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service, with Deacon Robert Ghiloni officiating. Burial will follow at Wilson Cemetery. Robert was born on November 11, 1930 in Newark, Ohio to the late Floyd D. and Bertha (Dase) Freeman. He passed away at SharonBrooke Assisted Living on May 11, 2018. Prior to retirement, he worked at Kaiser Aluminum for 42 years. He enjoyed renovating homes, was an animal lover and also enjoyed feeding birds, squirrels and stray cats. Robert had a caring personality and helped those in need, expecting nothing in return. Most important in his life was spending time with his family, especially doting on his grandchildren. Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Pamela Jean (Richard) Sexton; grandchildren, R. Matthew Sexton and J. Mitchell (Martha) Sex; great granddaughter, Ann Margret Sex; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, E. Jean (Wolfe) Freeman; and numerous brothers and sisters. Visitation will be held at the funeral Home, 179 Granville Street, Newark, on Monday, May 14, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Robert to Foundation For Hospice of Central Ohio, PO Box 430, Newark, Ohio 43055.
