A visitation, celebrating the life of Ronald D. Ridenour, 83, of Thornville, will be held on Monday, September 13, 2021 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Thornville chapel of Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service, 56 S. Main Street, Thornville. A private burial will be held at Lutheran Reformed Cemetery at a later date. Ronald was born in Keego Harbor, Michigan on September 25, 1937 to the late Leaon D. and Marie (Kline) Ridenour. He passed away at his residence on September 7, 2021. Prior to retirement, Ronald was a truck driver for many years. He enjoyed race car driving, watching NASCAR, flying remote control airplanes and building model cars. Most important to him was the time he spent with his family and friends and will be greatly missed by everyone that knew him. Surviving is his wife of 57 years, Judy (Hixson) Ridenour, whom he married June 23, 1964; daughters, April (James) Newman and Voneta “Sissy” (Charles) Harman; siblings, Patty Shields, Jerry (Pam) Wiley and Shirley Campbell; grandchildren, Ron Schriner, Ashley Schriner, Nikki Newman, Debbie Newman, David Gorey, Alexis Gorey and Corrine Gorey; great grandchildren, Brandalyn and Noah Corbin, Brandon and Alexus Schriner, Bell and Jaeda Ridenour; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Tony Gorey; and grandson, Jonathon Ridenour. Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service is honored to care for Ronald and his family.
