Robert Michael Ruppersburg

A funeral service honoring the life of Robert M. Ruppersburg, 86, of Millersport, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday December 6, at the Kirkersville home of HOSKINSON Funeral and Cremation Service, with burial to follow in the Floral Hills Cemetery, Lancaster. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening, December 5, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home, 285 E. Main St. in Kirkersville.

Robert passed away peacefully on November 30, 2024 at home with his family at his side, following a brief illness. He was born in Columbus, Ohio on June 26, 1938, the son of the late Homer and Mary Evelyn (Rehl) Ruppersburg. He was a 1956 graduate of Millersport High School, served honorably in the United States Army, and retired after 20 years with Schuller Engineering in Newark. He also owned and operated Class A Trophy and Awards for 16 years prior to his full retirement.

He was a former member of the Chief Tarhe Beagle Club, and was a classic car enthusiast, having owned and restored a 1960 Chevy and a 1965 Pontiac Tempest. He also was an avid bass fisherman.

He is survived by his loving family including his wife, Catherine (Brokaw) Ruppersburg, whom he married on October 30, 1969; his son, Randall Ruppersburg; his daughter, Teresa (Jeffrey) Ruppersburg-Arnold; along with several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister and a brother.
