A memorial service celebrating the life of Robert W. Stoltz, Bob, age 90, of Granville, will be held on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at New Albany Methodist Church, 20 Third Street, New Albany, with Pastor Frank Luchsinger officiating. A private burial will be held at Zion Ridge Cemetery in Thornville at a later date. Bob was born in Thornville, Ohio on March 3, 1927 to the late Noel and Mabel (Love) Stoltz. He passed away on March 29, 2017 at Kendal at Granville. Bob served his country proudly in the United States Navy during World War II. He graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelors degree from the College of Agriculture. He worked as a Sales Engineer for the Cleveland Electric Illuminating Company for 23 years. Bob was the Founder/President of Management Recruiters of Columbus. He was a member of the New Albany Methodist Church, the OSU Alumni Association and belonged to many investment clubs over the years. Bob grew up on a farm, where he enjoyed farming and growing Christmas trees. He held a pilots license while attending college, and he enjoyed tinkering at home. Survivors include his loving wife of 65 years, A. Jean (Daniel) Stoltz, whom he married June 10, 1951; son, Ron Stoltz; daughters, Barb Stoltz and Beverly (Jeffrey) Fulgham; grandchildren, Bob (Jenny) Stoltz and Katie Fulgham; great granddaughters, Gracie and Hannah Stoltz; sisters-in-law, Doris Graham and Judy Stoltz; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Dick Stoltz; grandson, Ben Fulgham; brothers, Charles and Paul Stoltz; sister, Dorothy Helser; and his faithful dog, Tipper.
