Rodger Brown

Rodger "DTRB" E. Brown, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 17, 2025, at the age of 65 in Newark, Ohio. He was born in Dallas, Texas, on July 11, 1959 to Jane (Fluker) Matthews and the late GC Brown.

In addition to his mother, Rodger is survived by his cherished wife of 42 years, Kathy Brown;  brother, GC Brown III; sister-in-law, Jeanne Wood; special friends, Rusty McQuirt, Angie Dietzl, Norm and Cindy Davis, as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his son, Gregory Rodger Brown; brother, Ricky L. Brown and brother-in-law, Edward Wood.

Rodger was a skilled handyman. As a self-employed worker, he took pride in his craft and cherished the satisfaction of a job well done. A proud veteran, Rodger served with honor in the Marine Corps, embodying the values of dedication and resilience throughout his life.

Rodger enjoyed watching the Cleveland Browns and the Ohio State Buckeyes. He loved hunting, fishing and his basset hound, Flash.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hospice of Central Ohio, in gratitude for their compassionate care.

Family and friends may call on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 from 10:00am until the time of the funeral service at 12:00pm at the Hebron chapel of Hoskinson Funeral & Cremation Service, 108 North 7th Street, Hebron, Ohio. Burial to follow in the Fairmount Cemetery, Jacksontown, Ohio.
