Roger J. Stack

Roger J. Stack, age 73, of Thornville, passed away on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at Mount Carmel East Hospital. Roger was born January 18, 1944 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Stephen A. and Clara M. (Wickliff) Stack.Roger was a veteran of the United States Army and faithfully served his country during Vietnam. Roger was retired and had been self-employed. He was a faithful servant to God and enjoyed fishing, hunting and the outdoors. His family meant everything to him and he was a wonderful and loving husband, dad, grandpa, brother and uncle.He is survived by his wife of nearly 50 years, Sandra L. (Vollmuth) Stack, whom he married October 28, 1967; three daughters, Teresa (David) Mathis, Lisa (Brian) Smith and Clara (Arlie) Mills, all of Thornville; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Stephen (Judy) Stack of Reynoldsburg; three sisters, Kay Ann Kuhlwine, Donna (Larry) Haught and Debra Stack, all of Thornville; many nieces, nephews, great and great-great-nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Joshua Stack; and by two brothers, Michael Stack and Mark Stack.There will be no service or calling hour observed.Hoskinson Funeral & Cremation Service in Thornville is honored to care for Roger and his family.
