Roger C. Wills

Roger C. Wills, age 77, of Newark, passed away on Sunday, November 7, 2021 at the New Albany Care Center. Roger was born May 26, 1944 in Newark, Ohio to the late Robert C. and Roberta V. (Orr) Wills.

Roger was the owner of R.C. Wills Enterprises, Inc., a construction and commercial roofing company. He also owned and operated the New Old Landmark Restaurant in Newark for 20 years. Roger was a member of the Elks for 28 years and was also a member of the Moose Lodge. He enjoyed golfing, watching Westerns, and was an avid Browns fan.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Cathy Wills of Slidell, Louisiana; grandchildren, Austin (Hailey) Wills and Josh Wills; brother and sister-in-law, David and Sharon Wills of Newark; sister and brother-in-law, Darlene Haas Baker and Charles Baker of Newark; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Cheryl (Carson) Wills on August 12, 1997.

Friends may call from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, November 11, at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home, 179 Granville Street in Newark.
