Ronald Grant Matheny

A memorial visitation, celebrating the life of Ronald G. Matheny, 60, of Millersport, will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Monday, October 30, 2023 in the chapel of the Kirkersville home of HOSKINSON Funeral and Cremation Service, 285 E Main St in Kirkersville.  Inurnment will follow at a later date in the Greenlawn Cemetery, Columbus, where Ronnie will be laid to rest with his parents and brother.

Ronnie passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at his home in Millersport. He was born November 11, 1962 in Columbus, the son of the late Dorothy Jean and Robert Clark Matheny. He was a graduate of Reynoldsburg H.S. and Ohio State University with an Associates Degree. He worked for Coughlin Automotive, from where he retired as a Service and Body Shop Manager.

Ronnie was a member of Buckeye Lake Eagles #2801, and enjoyed riding his Harley and boating on Buckeye Lake.

He is survived by his brother Gary Matheny of Millersport, his sister-in-law Lisa (Mrs. Jeff Matheny); his significant other Kirby Wolfe;  nieces and nephew Lisa (Adrian) Colosimo, Heather (Dan) Gowdy, Brooke Matheny, and Kennedi and Colton Ramey, and many friends around the Millersport Community; and his beloved dog Clyde.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Jeff and his sister-in-law Jennifer.
