Ronald Wayne Mohler

Funeral services, celebrating the life of Ronald Wayne Mohler, 81, of Newark, will be held at 12:00 Noon on Friday, December 30, 2022 in the chapel of the Thornville Home of HOSKINSON Funeral and Cremation Service, with Pastor Tom Jacobson as celebrant. The family will receive friends for two hours prior to the funeral service, from 10:00 am. Until time of the funeral; at the funeral home, 56 South Main St. in Thornville. Burial with full military honors will follow in the Lutheran Reformed Cemetery, Thornville.

Ron passed away early Tuesday December 27, 2022 at his home in Newark. He was born in Crooksville on June 24, 1941, the son of the late Meredith and Helen C (Eveland) Mohler. He was a graduate of Thornville High School, class of 1959, served honorably in the National Guard, and was a self-employed contractor. He enjoyed bowling and golfing, and was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church in Thornville and the Thornville Post of the Amvets.

He is survived by his family: his wife Marie “Kay” Mohler; whom he married on November 17, 1972; his son Steve (Becky) Martin; daughters Diane Sturm and Beverly (Marty) Kopac; his grandchildren Lyndsi and Logan Martin, Kyle and Sammie Kopac; his brother Phil, Steve and Chet Mohler; his sisters Barbara Holbrook and Linda Dittoe; along with several nieces and nephews.

The family prefers that memorials be directed to the American Cancer Society; envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
