Ronald Charles Vanwinkle

Funeral services, celebrating the life of Ronald C VanWinkle, 81, formerly of Pataskala, will be held on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Kirkersville home of HOSKINSON Funeral and Cremation Service, with his pastor, Kae Merold as celebrant. Burial will follow in the Kirkersville Cemetery, where Ron will be laid to rest with his wife, Leota, who preceded him in death on Jan 23, 2021.

Ron passed away October 11, 2021 in Matthews, North Carolina. He was born in Newark, Ohio on Feburary 5, 1940, the son of the late Wilmer L. and Marjorie F. (Cramer) VanWinkle. Ron had retired after a career as a designer with an architectural firm.  He enjoyed golfing and travel. He was an active member of the Outville Presbyterian Church.

Ron is survived by his son Judd; his daughter Amy; his brother Phillip (Rebekah) and his sister Carol (John) Hall; along with his several nieces and nephews; and many friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Nancy and his brother William. Their spouses William Perry and Ella VanWinkle survive.

The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the funeral service, from 11:00 a.m. until time of the funeral service at 12:00 Noon at the funeral home, 285 East Main St. in Kirkersville.

The family prefers that memorial contributions in his memory be directed to the Outville Presbyterian Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
