Roosevelt Ross Branham, 80, of Hebron, passed away on Saturday, October 4, 2014, in Columbus Following a brief illness. He was born in Pike Co. KY., the son of the late Ballinger and Esta Rose (Mars) Branham. Ross worked in Asphalt and Paving Construction for over 45 years. He taught his family the value of hard work and family dedication, and was an outstanding provider for his wife and children. He was a professional bluegrass musician since the age of 8, playing the banjo, guitar and mandolin and bass. Most recently he played with Caney Creek. Ross also enjoyed yard sales, flea markets, and fixing up houses. He is survived by his loving family: Sons: Tony, Michael (Ellyn) and Jeff (Julie) Branham; daughter Kim (Mike) Knox; sister Annalee Leedy, his 8 grandchildren Benjamin (Jordan), Matthew (Megan), Holly, Aaron and Mindy Branham, Audrey (Alex), Adam (Ashley) and Amberly Knox; along with his three great grandchildren Taylor, Sophia and Knox and many cousins, nieces and nephews; along with his special friend Marilyn Thomas. Extended family includes his sisters and brothers-in-law Johnny Morrison, Helen Morrison Crum of Virginia, Pearl (Forrest) Hall and Helen Morrison of Pataskala. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Polly, and his seven older sisters. Friends may call on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 from 3-5:30 p.m. at the Southwest Community Church, (Impact City) 8577 Watkins Rd., Pataskala, where funeral services will follow at 6:00 p.m., with Pastor Thomas Beeman as celebrant. Friends may gather for a brief ceremony on Wednesday morning October 8, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. in the Kirkersville Cemetery, when Ross will be laid to rest next to his wife Polly.
